Originally from Charente-Maritime, Romane joined ESSEC after completing a preparatory program at Lycée Henri-IV. From the moment she arrived at ESSEC she became fully involved in campus life: she founded WAVE ESSEC, the school’s water sports association, and became vice president of the rowing club.
She also contributed to a research project on agentic commerce and artificial intelligence as part of the Grande Consommation Chair—an experience that sparked her passion for data and AI.
The ESSEC Foundation’s support proved to be a real source of support for Romane. “Student life is expensive, and financial constraints can make you feel like you’re missing out on part of the ESSEC experience. This scholarship allowed me to fully embrace these opportunities, whether in student clubs or international exchanges. Next semester, I’ll be able to study at the Singapore campus.”
This support also gives her the freedom to shape her career path with less financial pressure. “The pressure of monthly student loan payments can force you to choose a career based mainly on salary. Thanks to this scholarship, I'll be free to pursue a path that truly fits me."
