ESSEC Foundation Evening in London: commitment, innovation, and solidarity
The event was made possible thanks to the warm hospitality of Marie-Paule Nowlis (M05), General Manager of the Sofitel St James, and the involvement of the local support committee composed of Chloé Lavedrine (E04), Alexandre Margoline (E05), and Xavier Mayer (E96). Their dedication helped make the evening a success, once again demonstrating the strength of ESSEC’s international network.

Vincenzo Vinzi, Dean of ESSEC, and Thierry Fritsch (E80), President of the ESSEC Foundation, presented the latest updates from the School, highlighting its growing influence in the UK through its local Hub or worldwide through ambitious new academic partnerships. They emphasized the essential role of alumni in ESSEC’s development, as well as the importance of social scholarships and the endowment fund in supporting tomorrow’s talent. Xavier Mayer, a major donor to the Foundation, shared his deep connection to the School and his commitment to organizing events in the UK, embodying the spirit of community that drives ESSEC graduates.

Julien Malaurent (PHD 12), Deputy Dean of ESSEC and AI expert, captivated the audience with a presentation on the ESSEC METALAB, the School’s center of expertise and influence that positions ESSEC as a European leader in data and AI research and education. His talk, followed by enriching discussions, underscored the increasing impact of AI in business and higher education, as well as the need for everyone to adapt to these transformations.
The ESSEC Foundation extends its heartfelt thanks to all participants for their presence and support, which are vital to bringing its projects to life. These moments of sharing strengthen solidarity within the community and help turn meaningful initiatives into reality.

Together, let’s make a difference.
