This fascinating topic sparked a cross-cutting and enlightening discussion on the growing impact of geopolitical shocks on corporate economic models. The conversation brought together two leading experts: Yann Le Pallec (E90), President of S&P Global Ratings and a major donor to the ESSEC Foundation, and Professor Aurélien Colson, Academic Co-Director of the ESSEC Institute for Geopolitics & Business.
This timely reflection is championed by the ESSEC Institute for Geopolitics & Business, whose mission is to prepare today’s and tomorrow’s leaders to navigate the geopolitical challenges that are profoundly reshaping business strategies.

This evening was an opportunity to highlight the impact of the commitment of ESSEC Foundation donors.
Vincenzo Vinzi, Dean of ESSEC, and Lucie-Anne Henry, Executive Director of the ESSEC Foundation, emphasized the Foundation key role in the development and influence of the School.
"ESSEC is thriving, but it needs to invest in its future. Donors’ contributions do not go toward the School’s operations but fund development projects, promoting equal opportunity, academic excellence, and global impact," Vincenzo Vinzi reminded attendees.
Coline Delassasseigne, a social scholarship recipient, shared how the ESSEC Foundation transformed her journey. A final-year student in the Grande École program, specializing in economics, she recently joined the Geopolitics and Negotiation track and is part of the Dean’s List, representing the top 10% of her class.
"The ESSEC social scholarship gave me the support I needed to focus on my studies and explore my passions. I am proud to live up to the trust placed in me."
