LEGACY: A PROMISE FOR THE FUTURE
A bequest is the ultimate expression of your generosity, convictions, and values. It is a decision that matures over time. Sheltered by the Fondation de France, recognized as a public utility, the ESSEC Foundation is exempt from all inheritance fees and taxes. The Foundation will therefore receive 100% of the value of the bequeathed asset(s).

DONATION : TRANSMIT TODAY TO OFFER THE BEST TO TOMORROW'S GENERATIONS
A donation allows you to transfer ownership of an asset irrevocably and without consideration to an individual or legal entity during your lifetime. Unlike a standard gift, a donation is established by a notarial deed. Like a bequest, it is capped when the donor has a spouse or children.
What can you transfer by donation ?
- An asset you own at the time of the donation, such as a sum of money, house or apartment, land, stocks, copyrights ...
- Or a share of an asset you own jointly.
DONATIONS ARE HIGHLY TAX ADVANTAGEOUS
Donations offer the same tax deductions as gifts. You can thus deduct 66% of the amount of the transferred asset from your income tax, up to 20% of your taxable income (with the excess being carried forward for the next 5 years). For donations in cash or full ownership of listed securities only, you can deduct 75% from the Real Estate Wealth Tax (IFI) (up to a deduction limit of €50,000 per year).
CAN YOU BEQUEATH YOUR STOCKS ?
Yes, you can bequeath your stocks, bonds, and various financial products to the ESSEC Foundation. You simply need to declare these gifts to the tax authorities, even though there will be no transmission taxes to pay. The proceeds from their sale will finance the ESSEC Foundation's projects. It is essential to inform the ESSEC Foundation in advance.
LIFE INSURANCE: GIVE MEANING TO YOUR SAVINGS
Do you already have a life insurance policy? Are you going to take out a policy with your insurer or bank?
At any time, you can designate the Fondation de France as the beneficiary of your policy, with an allocation in favor of the ESSEC Foundation, or add it to the list of existing beneficiaries by providing a simple amendment to the contract.
Throughout your life, you continue to enjoy your capital and can dispose of it at any time according to your needs. You benefit from all the advantages of the life insurance contract: tax benefits and return rates.
